History of Our Club

.

The CMC was founded in November of 2006 by Reg Green. Reg has been riding motorcycles since the mid-70’s. Meeting with friends to go for rides, Reg eventually found himself riding with another riding club that had chapters all over the US and Canada. In 2004 Reg became a road-captain in the Kitchener area, then soon was asked to be a 2nd officer. Shortly thereafter, Reg became the 1st officer of the huge chapter. In the summer of 2006, Reg then formed a new chapter for this riding club the Cambridge/Guelph area. Four months later, came the CMC !

So was born the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers ! With the first chapter in Reg’s backyard (Cambridge/Guelph) the CMC was underway. With the over-whelming support shown Reg and his 2nd officer, Chris Nadon, the majority of the former riding club membership, quickly joined to start the Charter Chapter of the CMC. In 2 short weeks, the 1st chapter of this new venture was growing with a membership of over 75 members !

The second chapter was founded in early December 2006, in the 1000 Islands) with Mike Palmer taking the reins as 1st Officer.

The CMC is simply a riding club. We also are a social club with chapters having a variety of events. Our members come with years and 1000’s of km’s of riding experience.

We are a family based riding club with all members of the family being welcome at most events.

We welcome every kind of motorcycle in our club. The mandate of our riding club is: It doesn’t matter the brand, as long as you ride it !

We are an internet based club with all our communication in the Delphi forums. (Click "National Forum" above to register with Delphi if you are not a member already...it is 100% free) Each Chapter has it’s own forum for club business and communications. These will include Chapter rides, General Information, Member Updates, Charity rides etc…

To join us, simply fill out the on-line form and we will contact you. Fill out all the fields as accurately as possible so we can expedite your membership.

Our patch called “The Madison” will be available in the spring of 2007. Called the Madison for the 10 year old members daughter that created the original basic layout of our riding club patch.     You can purchase these via your 1st or 2nd Officer of your chapter.
